Minutiae of Maison des Lis
Swimming Pool : We have never owned a swimming pool. However, there are folk around here who do have a pool or would desire one. Equally so with a hot tub. There is adequate space in which to put a pool. Our new lady Mayor is very pro-active and the Mairie is very fair in granting planning permission.
At the time of writing we are in the process of applying for a CU (Certificat d'rbanisme) for part of the land adjacent to the road that runs through the hamlet.A CU 'loosly' translates as 'outline' planning permission. Our only reason for doing this is that it makes the property more valuable.
Planning permission is required for a number of projects much as in the U.K. As mentioned before, there is very rarely a problem for this to be granted.
There is a Fosse Septique installed. Very few properties in the countryside are connected to mains sewerage.
