The Code de l'Urbanisme   (CU)

Anyone who wishes to construct or have constructed a building, to be used as a dwelling or not, whether with foundations or not, must in the first instance obtain a Permis de construire (building permit).


We have looked into the possibility of applying for a CU, which roughly translates as outline planning permission and we have been 'Given the Nod'  *** that there will be no problem with this.

Our reason for doing this is that with a considerable amount of land, future owners might like the possibility of building on it.
